My name is Claire Louise, and I have been working in the social media industry for many years, often helping friends and family build their online presence.
Until 2022, I was self-taught, learning through trial and error and staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
In 2022, my life took an unexpected turn when my partner and I lost our little boy at just 16 weeks. It was a heart-wrenching experience, and we were struggling to cope with the pain and grief of such a profound loss. Despite the overwhelming sadness, I have always held onto the belief that everything happens for a reason, and that there are signs and messages all around us if we are open to seeing them.
During this difficult time, I turned to fundraising on social media as a way to connect with others who had experienced similar losses and to share our story with the world. As we began to share our journey, something remarkable happened. Hannah Rose Funeral Services, the funeral home that had taken care of our little boy, saw our fundraising efforts on social media and reached out to me to see if I could help them with their own social media presence.
At first, I was hesitant. How could I possibly focus on something like social media when my heart was broken and my world had been turned upside down? But then, I realised that this was an opportunity to honour our little boy's memory and to use my skills to help others who were going through similar experiences.
As I worked with Hannah Rose Funeral Services to improve their social media presence, I felt a sense of purpose and meaning that had been missing from my life since our loss. I began to see this as a sign from our little boy, a message that he was with us and that we could overcome our grief by channelling our pain into something positive.
I knew that I had the skills and the passion to be a social media manager, but I also recognised that I needed more structured training to achieve my goals.
That's when I found TechPixies, an incredible course provider that teaches you the fundamentals of social media management and offers neuro coaching as part of their training. This was a life-changing experience for me, as I progressed through the different courses, I realised that the only thing holding me back was my own negative thoughts and doubts about my ability to succeed. With the support of TechPixies, I was able to overcome these mental barriers and go after the dream I had always wanted - to become a social media manager.
Now, with my newfound confidence and skills, I am excited to embark on this new chapter in my career. I am grateful for the challenges that life has thrown my way, as they have led me to where I am today. I hope that my story can inspire others to never give up on their dreams and to seek out the support and resources they need to achieve them.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by similar heartache or loss, please know that you are not alone. Losing a child, no matter how early or late in the pregnancy can be an incredibly difficult and painful experience.

If you or someone you know needs support or just someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am here to listen, to offer a shoulder to lean on and to provide any resources or information that may be helpful during this difficult time.
My desire to support others extends far beyond my role as a social media manager. I believe that we are all connected and that by reaching out and supporting one another, we can overcome even the most challenging of circumstances. So please, do not hesitate to get in touch if you need someone to talk to. I am here for you, and I am ready to listen.
